Shi Wisdom: Love is You & I Am Sorry

Ok. My homeboy, Joe Major, was looking for internet promotions and I hit him up like I'll do it. He gave me some URLs to look up and the first artists I listened to is Shi Wisdom. I enjoy her voice and her respect for classic hip hop.

Stix Izza: Bridge to Jupiter

It’s been awhile since I’ve heard from the homie Stix. He traveled around the world, dropped some mixtapes in Europe, came back to Nashville and added a last name. If you listened to his flow, you can tell he’s grown lyrically. A different type of confidence is also in his flow. His punchlines are no longer haymakers and obvious uppercuts. Those punches are now quick and sharp and you have to catch’em and listen or get off guard. Also, he switches the subject matter up and keeps your attention with the entirety of the ‘tape. ‘Bout time you came back bruh. It’s good to have you home nigga.

Here is where you can go cop his 'tape "Bridge to Jupiter" at: http://www.sendspace.com/file/rqkp8t

Tracks to look out for:
2) Run Away
7) Grown Man
12) Pivot

KA-Nine: No Rest For the Best

I listened to this a couple of weeks ago and I must say, I am impressed with his debut ‘tape. A totally different and original flow. Something needed today. He’s not your average rapper. It’s a good thing. Doesn’t really switch up his subject matter that much, but his flow and overall demeanor more than compensates for this.

Tracks to look for:
03) Another League
10) Exotic Things
12) Gettin' to the Money

13) Sex Competition

Allie: Study Hall

I finally got to this mixtape. Shout out toDJ Bombshell Boogie. I must say this: Thank You! Different flow. She not oversexed like most female rappers that put out tapes. I’m loving how her flow is and how she mixes her punchlines, that not so obvious as usual metaphors. Plus she gotta raspy voice, giving her a gutta appeal. Signed to the Drum Squad, she along with another New Orleans native, Na’Tee, the bringing the female spittas back.

Go here to get the ‘tape: http://www.drum-squad.com/mixtape/

Tracks to look for:
04) Bonita
07) Stomping Ground
10) Catch Me
11) Made Bitches f. Na' Tee & Mia X

Openmic: A Different World

Okay so today I was listening to this dude I've been known about for a couple of years. He used to work with my homeboy P. Cole and now he finally has done a mixtape with the big homie, Big Boy AJ called "A Different World." I became interested in his 'tape when I saw his showcase at Tenn. St. Univ. a couple of months ago and today (this morning) I just found time to listen to it. His attention to detail is crazy and and subject matter, content and delivery is off the rack. Along with other artists like Chancellor Warhol & Dee Goodz. (look out for those two, also from my hometown) Real music niggaz! To cop his 'tape go to:

Thank You For Not Helping

This is my 1st blog entry or whatever. Welcome to Highly Unanticipated. I call it that because people in power in the music industry are not letting real music out and I feel like I should do my part and do some type of blog where I feel like the artists who are not getting their fair chance and are talented or are just coming up and need some type of exposure. I'll start posting some of the underground artists and their music from my city (Nashville) first and then hit me up and let me know what's good. Now with that said, from all talented artists who haven't got their shot (yet!) from these major labels because of radio or politics or other different types of bullshit....Thanks For Not Helping,

J.P.
